About this trip

The midlife journey is a wild ride that forces us to confront who we've been, who we're becoming, and what we must let go of to reach our most empowered, intuitive, and wise selves.

For many women, midlife brings all sorts of sudden changes to our bodies, minds, perspectives, and relationships. Long-held identities crumble, and what once felt absolute may no longer feel true. This threshold crossing, although challenging, holds an incredible opportunity for healing, self-discovery, and profound spiritual growth. Our past informs the next stage, so we must examine and purify ourselves of beliefs that hold us back, enabling us to embrace this next phase of our lives with curiosity, enthusiasm, and presence.

Join me for four transformative days in the mountains of Topanga Canyon, CA, to navigate the complexities of midlife with greater awareness, compassion, and courage. We'll explore emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of change through yoga, meditation, ritual, reflection, nature immersion, nourishing plant-based meals, and meaningful community.

This retreat creates space to honor both the grief and the gifts of this transition by examining our stories, attachments, expectations, and the cultural messages that have shaped our lives. Guided practices and honest conversation will help us understand how stress, conditioning, identity, and unconscious beliefs influence our experience—and how we can meet this threshold with greater availability.

Together, we'll:

  • Deepen our understanding of the mind-body connection and its role in healing and transformation.

  • Explore identities, roles, and expectations we may be ready to outgrow.

  • Honor grief, loss, and uncertainty as natural parts of growth.

  • Reconnect with intuition, vitality, and inner wisdom.

  • Cultivate practices that support resilience, presence, and emotional well-being.

  • Celebrate the power, freedom, and possibility that can emerge in this stage of life.

Wherever you are in your midlife journey, this retreat offers a supportive environment to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. It's an invitation to listen deeply, reclaim your wisdom, and step across the threshold into the next chapter of your life with greater clarity and confidence.

Things to know

📍 Address to the property will be given the week before the retreat starts.

👉  Substance-free retreat

To create a peaceful, focused environment for everyone, we kindly ask that all participants refrain from using substances. This includes alcohol, cigarettes, smoking materials, and illicit drugs. We maintain a substance-free environment to help support everyone’s well-being. If this request is not respected, we reserve the right to ask participants to leave the retreat without a refund. Prescription medications are exempt from this policy. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

👉  Like adult summer camp - We're all in it together!

This is a cozy, communal retreat, not a traditional retreat center. The property is a private home on 9 beautiful acres with "glamping" style cabins and rooms. All rooms share bathrooms, and meals will be served "family style." We’ll all pitch in by rinsing our dishes and helping the chef with meal cleanup. It’s all about sharing and supporting each other—like one big family!

👉  Close shared spaces

This retreat is very communal, with shared bedrooms and bathrooms in most accommodations.

Getting to Topanga

Getting to the Property…

  • The address will be provided the week before the retreat starts.

  • LAX is approximately 37 miles from the property (with current road closures).

  • Burbank Airport is about 27 miles from the property.

The drive from either airport can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on traffic. This is Los Angeles, so be prepared for potential delays at any time of day. Plan accordingly.

While a car can be useful during your stay in Topanga, it’s not essential. There are always people willing to carpool for hikes or trips into town, and many retreat participants arrange airport rides via our Facebook group. It’s a great way to meet others!

If you’d like more flexibility in your travel, feel free to rent a car. There’s plenty of parking available on the property.

Cabs, Lyft, and Uber are all options for getting to the retreat.

Arrival Time: Please plan to arrive no earlier than 3:00pm, as requested by the property manager. If you arrive early, Topanga has plenty of things to do, and the property is only a 10-minute drive from the main town. Once registered, you'll receive a digital packet with things to do in the area.

If you're not renting a car, it’s better to spend time in Santa Monica, Venice, or the Valley (depending on your arrival location), rather than trying to get a cab, Uber, or Lyft from inside Topanga Canyon, as it can be challenging unless arranged in advance.

If you have any questions about your travel plans, feel free to email Jessica at jessica@seanecorn.com.

On Your Way Home… Expect longer drive times when heading to the airport, so we recommend giving yourself at least 1-2 hours for travel, especially with the road closures. If you're renting a car, be sure to leave a little extra time.

If you're booking a ride to the airport, it's best to arrange it beforehand, as many services don't pick up in the area. Canyon Car Service is a popular option.

The last class ends at 11:00am on Sunday, with brunch at 11:30am, and check-out at 12:00pm.
